Sporting events
With the possible exception of dogsled racing, some canoe or boat races, and hand games, most of our Northwest Territories sporting events are designed more for participation than viewing. Take our cross country ski loppets, or our sailing races for example – it is far more fun to participate than to watch from the sidelines. The same holds true for our golf tournaments, designed to challenge the best golfers as well as duffers. You are welcome to join in the fun at local events. You can also test your skills and strength against the best athletes in the north at Northern Games – try the airplane or the one foot high kick!
